CONSERVATORSHIP PRESENTATION HERE AND THE OTHER SIDE OPENING

FROM HERE AND ON THE OTHER SIDE on the threshold we all are.
In such a body made of five elements, earth what is hard water that is liquid, fire is hot, wind moves, which is hollow space. The earth support, water cohesive mass, the fire lit, the wind distributes chemicals and provides space site. Fragments for a history of the human body, 1 ª. , Michel Feher, Taurus. CONSERVATORSHIP

This curatorial displays four edges or dimensions of the human being, body, landscape, spirituality and politics that can detect and guide the artistic practices that enable thought, stage, generate awareness and document processes and dynamic principles of artistic behavior in the region.

The body can be understood as a projection of the idea of territory and their meanings, which come together to be their desires, aspirations and contradictions, roads organic confluence of the sacred and the dark. In the body and its various transformations, reveal aesthetic concepts, consumerism and fashion, gender and identity issues and generally making that bridge between public and private. In

the landscape, the artist finds the opportunity to recognize and re-order mean forces, finding a place in the universe, to interpret the dynamics of natural phenomena and establish its existence as a dance between divinity and matter. This is a correlation that every day, in this present crisis, better understanding their interdependence, but at the same time, the scene of conflict, by the degeneration of sophistication or perhaps the idea of territory, makes visible the uncertainty brought about by the forces of power and anxiety of being uprooted.

Spirituality, an element that now seems to belong only to the past, it is vital in the search to correlate the body, landscape and the dynamics of politics with the insistent forces of homogenization of society, either by the uncertain vicissitudes of globalization, or by the systematic construction of human praxis delivered to the comfort and skepticism from a sophisticated machinery of seduction and dream a new reality in asepsis and beautification.

Moreover, loss of sense of political highlights the exile of the contemporary society, individualism, setting a new Narcissus, no longer enamored of his image reflected in water, but of his own shelter, built with media device architecture, which protects a critical reality and gives, in return, happiness at home in the refinement of technologies and supermarkets, in an "every man for himself." Regions like ours, northeastern Colombia, ordered the sway of nature and the ideological whims of two leaders, in a back and forth from one side that affects millions of people, not uncritical public support, without memory, forget a cultural history woven second to second for each family ties, neighborhood and economy, drawn nothing more, nothing less than the dynamics of living.

THE ARTIST
artists in the northeastern region have taken some perceptions of reality that affects them and affects others, and have had some processes which aim to interpret that reality.

their own way have made the dynamics of guardianship, either because their personal reflections and practical and fit into them, or because their strategic ways to make the art they had the flexibility to take on areas of conceptualization embedded in the paper live all of us.

thus something had to propose thematic edges, was the imminent visitation of the four dimensions. For example, how to avoid the presence of politics in our landscape, or being indifferent to the spiritual connections that overflow of any encounter with the body? Of course this is reflected in the works of the artists, works that make up even sometimes all subjects.

In this sense, the issue raised most often is the political aspect that is relevant in a highly politicized environment like that of the region, a binational conflict whose real or apparent complexities are becoming more tangible. Some are very direct in their approach, for example, by structuring its proposal from the irony by manipulating representative images of the "homeland" or product market, or reflecting on specific chapters of political events featuring Chávez-Uribe. Or in other case creating frameworks of landscape, product, history and militarization, we speak of works Oswaldo Barreto, Gabriel Castillo, Alexandra Morelli, Hernando Cruz, Annie Vazquez Alberto Enrique Borjas.

At other times the idea of boundary is approached from a mechanical relationships, listening to popular voices in different populations of the border zone, or generating social dynamics of mobility around identities in the workplace such as the potters , where Diana works and Néllyda Amparo Cardenas Villamizar.

On the other hand, some addressed the issue of domestic violence in Colombia, citing the military presence in chapters of degradation and slaughter in rural and urban areas in armed conflict or military intervention in academic spaces in the proposals of Victor Hugo Garavito, Emilio Esteban and Julio César Rodríguez.

A unique case in the way addresses the political from the existential meaning of the individual is to Tommys Yamira Arroyo. In this s performance the artist uses the metaphor of the Columbian as a representation of human beings engaged in a system of domination and liberation. Another case that diverges over others is the proposal of Oscar Salamanca, who through art gas approach, avoids the subject and presents a kind of legitimate company or opportunity in the virtual to be recognized as an artist on the circuit art.

In almost all the artists exploring the landscape, the solutions are built from the political and even ecological, that is the case of Carlos Julio Quintero, who deals with nature in the archaeological sense to find the object in an act of dehumanization, as if it were a metaphor of violence. Furthermore proposals Jairo Ospina, Arnulfo Medina and Rafael Sanchez assume representative of a regional landscape as a matter of politically manipulated by the introduction of foreign stereotypes, the landscape and travel as a discovery of displacement, the ephemeral nature of the house and illusion, and also the way the landscape is associated from body and the absence in the expulsion of a territory.

An isolated case in the way of approaching the landscape is that of Oscar Abraham, who makes a kind of taxonomy of the landscape as a stereotype. Assumes funding landscape for portrait photography as a popular artificial nature or others, approaching a sociological and anthropological aspects of painting emerges through photography.

body edge is approached in a more diverse, more particularly sub thematically by each artist. The body contained in the space, the body itself, and specific everyday self, which expands well as light and aesthetic reality Camila Breton, the body that grows from the product packaging as a monster who delights in consumption dilemma between recreational and sea exaltation non-biodegradable waste, cross-cultural beings from the tin and plastic circulating the proposal Luis Saray.

trade body, the body is not idealized specific rises in marginal economies, from a noble sculptural technique such as terracotta, urban but naked bodies, which reveal the human in the field that deforms warmly in the daily work, is what we see Hector Julio Navarro. For his part Luis Brahim refers to the ephemeral nature of the body, life, if you will, the volatility in the metaphor of festive balloon filled with helium, with faces painted to be reduced as sediment past experiences and characters. The body marked with wire, cut after cut, feminine nature that creates its course in pain, veils penetrable generating facility, between the telos and sewing a sense of fragility, lightness and promotion in Yamile Manrique.

photographs that generate a rate of relief, sitting posture in public space, floor and color, create pedestrian and public space in which anonymity is possible to recognize a latent spirituality in behavior that expands the body dialogue with the landscape, is the suggestion Yadira Polo. José Antonio Díaz problematizes the gaze from the photograph, a trap that exposes the viewer, who is actually who sees the act of prying television after some viewers unrealistic and addressed since childhood.

While we assert that every creative act is spiritual, if we approach it as a theme in the works, are really small: the proposal of the Collective Nomads audiovisual displays an attitude that transforms the landscape into a kind of game that past experiences and feelings it evokes ancient rituals, the paintings of Pablo Pérez Godoy address the relationship of being and the landscape from the simplified image of the body as well as momentous stories of human beings and the relationship of the frontier as transcendence, simplicity and simulated images that indicate a psychological complexity. REGION

whole region denotes a rising level in the proposals. The most interesting was the willingness of artists to create a feedback process that transcends art objects and creates a real dynamic of interaction, a region in different cities requires living strategies of participation, as there is a great desire to respond through art some contexts and realities that reflect local reality in the world.

The thematic talks by theorists guests, visits to workshops and counseling, in some cases, the processes of creation, allowed an atmosphere of trust that reflects a region willing to create change and strengthen its scope .

There is a willingness to express the critical attitude towards the political, in daily life as the affecting socio-economic and openness to the art object reconstruction from dynamic untimely as the conceptual necessity, ie, a mobility capability in the configuration of creative strategies, as critical experience. On the other hand, there is a reality among the actors who have approached from different levels of training, a willingness to share regardless of the seniority of the artists or youth in the processes, which stimulates and facilitates a fertile ground for change and training .

The region as a cluster of diversity and convergence, responded very positively to the coordinates set forth by the curator, and the presentations will attest to the diversity and artistic quality and conceptual.

The different languages come together in the final selection, a painting that is strengthened and amalgamating a video sculpture, sculpture that is energized from traditional languages such as clay and made ready to host the waste, installation and photography, as well as proposals that interact with community activists from the performative and the virtual space.
